In the lead-up to the WTA 250 hard court tournament in Hong Kong, the World No. 18 participated in the 2025 Toray Pan Pacific Open, where she defeated her fellow Canadian Bianca Andreescu (6-3, 6-3) and Eva Lys (6-1, 6-1) in the first and second rounds, respectively before falling to Elena Rybakina with a score of 3-6, 6-7(4) in the quarterfinals.
