Venus Williams’ boyfriend, Andrea Preti, made his commitment clear and showed full support for American tennis player Reilly Opelka.
Opelka is competing at the ATP 250 grass-court tournament, the Libéma Open—also known as the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships—in the Netherlands. He’s set to play in the quarterfinals on Friday, June 13.

Venus Williams’ boyfriend, Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti—who’s also well known in the fashion world—has cheered for Reilly Opelka throughout his campaign at the event. Williams and Preti have been dating for nearly a year, having first been spotted together in July 2024.
On Thursday, June 12, Preti posted an Instagram story backing Opelka ahead of his next match, captioning it:

Before the first round of the tournament, he posted a video spotlighting Opelka ahead of his match against Denis Yevseyev on June 8, writing:
“Let’s go @reillyopelka 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨”
Williams’ boyfriend, Preti, also crossed paths with Reilly Opelka during the Italian Open. He shared a photo of their meeting via Instagram story, featuring himself alongside the former world No. 17. They also attended the soccer match between SS Lazio and Inter Milan alongside Williams.
Venus Williams and Opelka’s bond goes a long way back. The pair connected over their shared love and appreciation for art, an interest that gave birth to the Art x Tennis Club. The players have occasionally been spotted visiting art galleries and other events together.
Reilly Opelka’s 2025 Libéma Open Campaign So Far
After winning in straight sets over Denis Yevseyev in the qualifying round, Opelka lost to Mark Lajal. However, fortune favored him as he entered the main draw as a lucky loser.
In the round of 32, Opelka edged Jesper De Jong in a three-set battle. He followed that up with a straight-sets win over Nicolas Jarry, 7-6(5), 6-3. Opelka is now through to the quarterfinals, where he’ll go up against Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev, who is a former finalist, having fallen short in 2022.
The two have met five times before, with Medvedev leading their head-to-head 4-1. Opelka’s only win over the Russian came in 2020 at the St. Petersburg Open, an ATP 250 event.
