Paula Badosa and Matteo Berrettini will participate in a tennis event in the Maldives during their off-season. The Spaniard has already arrived in the country, while Berrettini, who recently won the Davis Cup with Italy, is yet to join her.
Badosa and Berrettini will take part in the LUX Tennis Star Events, which will be held at the Patina Maldives, a five-star private island resort located in the Fari Islands. LUX Tennis is a tennis management company that collaborates with some of the world’s finest luxury resorts and has Martina Hingis and David Ferrer as its brand ambassadors.
Paula Badosa and Matteo Berrettini to Take Part in a Tennis Event in Maldives
Badosa will attend the LUX Tennis Star Event at Patina Maldives on Nov. 25 and 26, 2025. Meanwhile, Berrettini, along with his brother Jacopo Berrettini, will participate in the event from Nov. 27 to 30, 2025.
Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to share the court with Badosa and the Berrettini brothers and receive private tennis coaching from the tennis stars. Recently, the Spaniard took to social media to reveal that she had arrived at Patina Maldives, describing it as her “office” for the week.
“Office of the week 💚🌴,” Badosa captioned her Instagram post.

Badosa also shared pictures of the beautiful Maldivian beach, her view from her room, and a glimpse of the gym at the resort.
“Woke up here @patinamaldives,” Badosa captioned her Instagram story.
“Paradise @patinamaldives,” the former World No. 2 added.

Badosa ended her 2025 tennis season prematurely after competing in the China Open, citing chronic back pain, an issue she has been managing since 2023. In Beijing, she won her opening match against Antonia Ružić but had to retire from her third-round match against Karolína Muchová during the first set because of a left hip injury.
This year, the former world No. 2 achieved her best result at the 2025 Australian Open, where she reached the semifinals before losing to the eventual runner-up, Aryna Sabalenka. She also reached the quarterfinals in three tournaments: the 2025 Mérida Open, the Internationaux de Strasbourg, and the Berlin Tennis Open.
Meanwhile, Berrettini concluded his 2025 season after representing Italy at the Davis Cup Finals. In the final, the two-time defending champions, Team Italy, defeated Team Spain 2-0 to claim their fourth Davis Cup title.
