Hollywood star Eva Longoria recently attended the Madrid Open and was seen cheering from the stands during Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov’s matches. The actress and producer was seen watching the Serb’s surprising defeat to Matteo Arnaldi before later cheering on Dimitrov, accompanied by Mexican actress and singer Eiza González.
Longoria’s presence at the Caja Mágica comes just weeks after Novak Djokovic attended her star-studded 50th birthday celebration. The Serb, who won thrice in Madrid, suffered a shock exit after falling to Arnaldi in straight sets. He is now on a three-match losing streak, having previously lost in the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters after being beaten in the Miami Open final.

With this victory, Dimitrov advanced to the third round, where he will take on British qualifier Jacob Fearnley on Apr. 27 in what will be their first meeting on the ATP Tour. Novak Djokovic Shared His Thoughts on Madrid Defeat
Following his defeat at the Madrid Open. Novak Djokovic admitted his expectations have shifted. As quoted by ATP, the Serb said said he now hopes just to win a match or two.
“I was hoping I can play one more match than I played in Monte-Carlo. [It’s] kind of a new reality for me, I have to say,” Djokovic said. “Trying to win a match or two, not really thinking about getting far in the tournament… It’s a completely different feeling from what I had in 20-plus years of professional tennis.
“It’s a challenge for me mentally to really face these kinds of sensations on the court, going out early now regularly in tournaments,” he added.
Djokovic called it a “new reality” and said it’s mentally tough dealing with early losses, which are happening more often. He also praised Matteo Arnaldi, calling him a “quality player,” and said he knew the match would be a tough challenge.
“Obviously, after you lose a match, you don’t feel good, but I’ve had a few of these this year where I lose in the first round, unfortunately,” Djokovic added. “I knew that it was going to be a really tough opening match for me in this tournament. Arnaldi is a really good player, a quality player.”
The Serb is next scheduled to compete at the Italian Open, a tournament he has won six times before.
