Świątek vs. Bencic Head-to-Head
The two have locked horns fivr times so far on the WTA Tour, with Światek holding a dominant 4-1 head-to-head lead. They last squared off against one another in this year’s Wimbledon semifinals, with the Pole registering a comprehensive 6-2, 6-0 win.
Świątek vs. Bencic Prediction
Świątek will enter the match as the overwhelming favorite to win given her current form, head-to-head lead, and the fact that she hasn’t lost a match to the Swiss since the 2021 US Open. That said, Bencic on her day is capable of giving the Pole a run for her money.
Światek’s first-serve numbers have not been particularly impressive during the Asian swing, but she has won 190 out of 258 points on it so far. The Pole has produced 21 aces during this period but has also served 25 double-faults. Świątek’s movement, return, and blend of aggression and defense make her a menace for the best of players, not to forget on her day, she can also dominate on her serve.
Bencic’s serve has been a key weapon for her over the years but her Asian swing numbers have not been the best, with 154 points won out of 215 (71.6%). However, a big portion of those numbers could be skewed towards her quarterfinal defeat to Coco Gauff in Beijing, where she won just 46 out of 73 first-serve points.
Bencic’s game has a lot of variety, something she will have to make the most out of if she is to give Świątek a run for her money. However, given the Pole’s quality and current form, it seems very unlikely for the Swiss to bag a win.
Prediction: Świątek to win in straight sets.
