Emma Raducanu Shares Memorable Moments From Her Scenic Tokyo Trip for $3.5 Million Uniqlo Deal

Emma Raducanu recently shared memorable moments from her trip to Tokyo, Japan, where she announced her partnership with Uniqlo.

Last month, Emma Raducanu joined the Japanese clothing company Uniqlo as its newest Global Brand Ambassador. She will debut the Brand’s apparel at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Recently, she shared some memorable moments from her trip to Tokyo, including the press conference announcing her partnership with Uniqlo.

Before partnering with Uniqlo, Raducanu was a Nike athlete, having joined the company in 2018. She won her only Grand Slam title, the 2021 US Open, while wearing Nike apparel. The Brit officially signed with Uniqlo in February 2026, in a deal reportedly worth $3.5 million annually over four years.

Emma Raducanu Shares Tokyo Photodump After Making Deal With Uniqlo

As Uniqlo’s Global Brand Ambassador, Raducanu will represent the company and promote its ‘LifeWear philosophy’ both on and off the court. She will collaborate with other Uniqlo Global Brand Ambassadors, such as Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori, and help design her on-court apparel, among other responsibilities.

During her time in Tokyo, the former US Open champion attended a press conference where her partnership with Uniqlo was announced. Uniqlo President Tadashi Yamato, Group Senior Executive Officer Koji Yanai, and Creative Director Claire Wright were also present at the event.

Recently, Raducanu took to social media and shared a series of pictures showcasing her experiences in Tokyo. These included a photo of the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing, images of her in front of the electronic billboards at the crossing, photos of her wearing Uniqlo apparel, visits to various restaurants, a picture of the Tokyo cityscape with Mount Fuji in the background, and much more.

The former World No. 10 achieved her best result at the WTA 1000 hard court tournament in California in 2023, defeating Danka Kovinić, Magda Linette, and Beatriz Haddad Maia in the first three rounds, respectively, before losing to Iga Świątek in the fourth round.

This year, Raducanu is seeded 25th at the WTA 1000 tournament and will begin her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She will face either Ella Seidel or a qualifier in her opening match.

Raducanu and Seidel have never met on the WTA Tour, making their potential second-round match at Indian Wells the first time they will meet. The winner of this match will advance to face either sixth seed Amanda Anisimova, Anna Blinkova, or a qualifier in the third round of the tournament.
