Emma Raducanu Strengthening Her Global Appeal Through a New Apparel Chapter

Raducanu’s move is notable on several levels. Since her historic 2021 US Open triumph, she has been one of the most marketable athletes in tennis, attracting high-profile sponsorships across industries. Her partnership with Nike dated back to her teenage years, making the transition all the more symbolic.

The announcement event in Tokyo featured Raducanu alongside Uniqlo President Tadashi Yamato, Retailing Director Koji Yano, and Creative Director Claire Wright. The British star was seen wearing a dark navy blazer, matching trousers, and suede sneakers.

By signing with Uniqlo, Raducanu became the first female tennis player to join the brand’s elite group of global ambassadors. She now shares that platform with established names such as Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori, both of whom have long-standing ties with the company.

The partnership centers on Uniqlo’s “LifeWear” philosophy, which blends high-quality design with everyday functionality. Raducanu has emphasized that her role extends beyond simply wearing the apparel. She will collaborate with the brand on the design of her on-court outfits, ensuring the pieces reflect both her technical requirements and her personal style.

“I am very pleased to join UNIQLO and to work closely with its amazing team of Global Brand Ambassadors. UNIQLO and I share many values and perspectives on life, culture, and society. I am excited to promote LifeWear through my tennis career, and to working with everybody at UNIQLO to inspire and engage young people everywhere,” Raducanu said during a press release.

Her debut in Uniqlo competition gear is scheduled for the Indian Wells Open in March 2026. Financially, the agreement is reported to be worth approximately $3.5 million annually, a notable increase from the estimated value of her previous apparel contract.

Off the court, Raducanu is also expected to take part in global community initiatives, including the Uniqlo Next Generation Development Program, which focuses on coaching and supporting young athletes from diverse backgrounds.
