Fans React to ATP Finals Draw
The 2025 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin will feature the world’s elite players, where Italian star Jannik Sinner will look to defend his title and World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz will attempt to clinch his first title. The top-notch stars have been divided into two groups: the Jimmy Connors and the Bjorn Borg groups.
The Jimmy Connors group will feature Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur. In contrast, the Bjorn Borg group will have Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, or Lorenzo Musetti.
The division of the players garnered reactions from the fans, with one of them sharing their thoughts on Sinner losing his ranking, adding, “Jannik it’s time to say goodbye to the no.1 ranking.” Another tennis enthusiast added, highlighting the imbalance of the draw, “very unbalanced draw (not surprised).”

One fan commented by highlighting the fact that Shelton and Djokovic haven’t locked horns in a while.
“Lmao, you know what Shelton, we’ll get ’em next year! At least you made the finals! Also comical how hard Shelton and Djokovic avoid each other. Rybakina/Coco of the ATP,” the fan’s comment read.
Another fan stated the same thing, adding that there was little chance of both Shelton and Djokovic making it to the semifinals.
“Ben and Novak have been one match away from playing each other six times the last two years in slams. They have played each other once lol. Sucks being a fan of both. The one that really sucked was Aussie this year. Slam final with those two and I would have died happy. Was hoping they were in the same group…doubt they both advance,” the comment read.
One fan said that Sinner’s draw was similar to what he got during the Paris Masters (assuming that the final qualifying spot would go to Felix Auger-Aliassime).
