During the New Orleans Saints’ 26-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, tight end Taysom Hill was extremely productive but also suffered an injury. What’s the latest on Hill’s status, and will he miss some time?

The Latest on Taysom Hill’s Injury

Hill scored two rushing touchdowns on six touches in the Saints’ Week 4 loss to the Falcons, but the versatile weapon was injured on his second score.

Hill left the game holding his chest and he did not return, so many assumed that this was a flare-up of the same chest injury that sidelined him in Week 3.

However, after the game, Saints head coach Dennis Allen revealed that the 34-year-old is dealing with a new rib issue.

Keep an eye on the Saints’ injury report this week to see the severity of this injury and whether Hill is able to practice. If he misses time, expect New Orleans to lean on tight ends Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau.

Hill finished the game with six carries, 24 yards, and two touchdowns. The Saints sorely missed his presence in the second half as the Falcons came back to win the game, 26-24.

    Fantasy Outlook

A pair of short rushing touchdowns made this Hill’s best fantasy performance of the season, but his physical style naturally brings injury into the equation as his usage ramps up.

His role inside the 10-yard line is great to see and makes him a luxury stash in most leagues due to the limited upside across the league at the tight end position.

Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave are lineup locks with or without Hill, but should he miss time, their scoring equity increases a decent amount, especially with this offense continuing to click.

As physical as Hill is, he appeared in 32 of 34 games over the past two seasons, so I’d keep him rostered and hope that this injury doesn’t stick.
