Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt, wasn’t in the mood to listen to baseless criticism about officiating against her team. The Chiefs played out a 22-17 nail-biting Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
After the game, fans took to social media to express their frustration over penalties and missed calls that they believed impacted the game’s outcome. Tavia responded by sharing a fiery Instagram post by Farzin Vousoughian, which clarified that every team, not just the Chiefs, deals with bad calls. The IG post’s caption read:
“I don’t want to hear any whining about the officiating with the Bryan Cook missed PI … Chiefs defense was flagged 3 times on Atlanta’s final drive. Couldn’t ask for anything better on a potential game-winning drive situation.”
The post also highlighted how the Chiefs were unfairly flagged during critical moments, including a questionable pass interference call on Trent McDuffie.
Hunt’s reshared post discussed the fact that bad calls happen across the league, not just to the Falcons or any other team. Clearly, she’s not here for the accusations that Kansas City gets special treatment.
Who Is Clark Hunt’s Wife, Tavia Hunt?
Tavia has been a key figure behind the scenes of the franchise since her marriage with the Chiefs’ owner, Clark, in 1993. Hailing from Kansas City only, Tavia’s love for her hometown and its iconic football team runs deep. She made a name for herself early on, winning titles like Miss Missouri Teen USA and Miss Kansas USA.
Her roots in Kansas City make her connection to the Chiefs Kingdom all the more meaningful. In an interview with KSHB, Tavia said:
“We undoubtedly have the best fan base in the NFL. They show up whether it’s 100 degrees or negative 10, or whatever it is. They show up.”
Aside from her beauty pageant success, Tavia is actively involved with the Chiefs organization. She serves as the director of the Chiefs Women’s Organization, a program that unites the wives and girlfriends of players for charitable causes in the local community. She told HERLIFE magazine in 2018:
“I love being a leader of it and organizing events to familiarize our extended football family with Kansas City and plug them into serving in the community.”
Tavia is also closely tied to the team’s cheerleading squad, where she helps design outfits and judge cheerleading auditions. Tavia and Clark share three children — Gracie, Knobel, and Ava — whom they’ve raised to be die-hard football fans.
