2-Time Super Bowl Champion Sends Bold 10-Word Message To Dak Prescott After Cowboys Trade For Joe Milton III

The Dallas Cowboys’ recent trade for quarterback Joe Milton III has stirred plenty of debate, but none more impactful than LeSean McCoy’s striking comments. The former Philadelphia Eagles running back, a two-time Super Bowl champion, made headlines after delivering a blunt assessment of the move on the show The Facility.

McCoy sent a clear message to the Cowboys’ starting quarterback Dak Prescott, saying, “Dak Prescott, find a realtor. Because Joe Milton can play.”

LeSean McCoy’s Statement Shocks NFL Fans

McCoy’s strong words have quickly become a talking point among analysts and fans alike. His statement spotlights skepticism about the Cowboys’ direction and signals his belief in Milton’s potential to push Prescott for the starting role.

“I’ve seen other quarterbacks get paid a lot of money and they move on,” McCoy added on air, making it clear he sees Milton as more than just a developmental piece. For Prescott, who’s been the face of the Cowboys for nearly a decade, this comment only increases the pressure heading into the offseason.

Prescott’s career has been marked by its highs and lows. His 2023 season was one of his best, throwing for 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns. However, his postseason record remains shaky, with a 2-5 playoff record that continues to raise doubts. In 2024, injuries limited Prescott to only eight games, where he posted 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

What Joe Milton Brings to the Table

Milton, on the other hand, is still a question mark at the pro level. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 246 pounds, he boasts a massive frame paired with an arm capable of jaw-dropping throws.

At Tennessee, Milton finished his final collegiate season with 2,537 yards, 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, while also rushing for 216 yards and four scores. His debut for the Patriots in 2024 showcased his raw talent, as he completed 22 of 29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown, earning an 111.4 passer rating.

Yet, what Milton has in physical ability, he lacks in experience. He remains an unproven commodity, with questions lingering about his consistency, decision-making and ability to adapt to NFL defenses. The Cowboys’ trade signals their willingness to bet on his potential, but Milton will need time to develop if he’s going to challenge Prescott for significant playing time.

A New Chapter for the Cowboys?

The debate surrounding Prescott and Milton is gaining momentum, especially after McCoy’s bold statement on the air. Prescott brings leadership, experience and familiarity with the Cowboys’ system, while Milton offers untapped potential and the chance to bring a new dynamic to Dallas’ offense. The trade raises several questions about the Cowboys’ long-term plans, and McCoy’s comments have only added fuel to the conversation.

The upcoming season will be crucial for both quarterbacks, as Milton looks to prove he belongs in the league and Prescott works to solidify his place as the team’s leader. Either way, the spotlight on Dallas just got brighter.
