Who plays on Sunday Night Football tonight?
Tonight we’ll see the Green Bay Packers take on the New Orleans Saints in what might be an early look at a playoff matchup in January. Green Bay comes in with a 2-0 record while New Orleans fell to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 2, giving them a 1-1 mark through the first two weeks of the season.
The Packers came into the 2020 season criticized for not addressing the wide receiver depth on the roster this offseason. Turns out, head coach Matt LaFleur knew what he’d be getting from the group and Aaron Rodgers under center, leading the league in total offense after Weeks 1 and 2. Realistically, however, the story should start with Aaron Jones and the running backs, leading the league with an average of 208.5 yards per game.
New Orleans has been trending in the opposite direction. After the Week 1 victory and injury to wide receiver Michael Thomas, quarterback Drew Brees struggled to get his wide receivers going against a relatively raw Raiders defense on Monday Night. Will we see the same against the Packers secondary on Sunday Night Football?
Are fans allowed at New Orleans Saints games this season?
The Saints will allow 750 people into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for Sunday Night’s matchup against the Packers in Week 3. These people will only be family members of the players, coaches and staff. Following the game the Saints will determine if they’ll let fans begin purchasing tickets. This is the second Saints home game of the season.
