Free agent offensive tackle Terron Armstead set to visit Miami Dolphins
Armstead is an elite left tackle in the NFL who has played nine seasons. The Dolphins also pursued La’el Collins, a right tackle who agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to league sources.
Armstead, 30, has had some durability issues. However, when healthy, he’s a stellar blocker. Armstead is also a strong leader and mentor for younger players, including tutoring offensive linemen annually at the OL Masterminds Summit in Frisco, Texas, with Duke Manyweather.
Armstead ran a 4.71 40-yard dash at 306 pounds at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine. After the franchise tag deadline, Armstead was PFN’s sixth-ranked free agent on the market.
