A new age is kicking in the NFL. Tom Brady is moving on in his entrepreneurial journey, and Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, is being prospected as a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The two share quite a bond, with Brady mentoring the 22-year-old quarterback, courtesy of Coach Prime.
Thus, it was no surprise that Shedeur weighed in on Brady’s decision to join the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner — and it’s given rise to plenty of speculation. Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, surprised the NFL world with his announcement, but Shedeur’s quick reaction got people talking.
Is Shedeur Sanders Eyeing Tom Brady’s Raiders?
It’s no secret that the Raiders need a quarterback. Gardner Minshew II and Desmond Ridder don’t help head coach Antonio Pierce’s case, as the Raiders currently sit at 2-5 in the AFC West.
Sanders, who has an NIL deal with Brady’s clothing line, Brady Brand, and a budding friendship with the NFL legend, liked Brady’s post about the Raiders news. He also discussed that on his podcast “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders.”
“I think it was a great decision, great thing for him,” Sanders said on his podcast. “He did everything he can on the field. So off the field, he’s, I guess, indulging in a lot of different things now. But they said he looking for a quarterback, so we’ll see.” [19:40]
With the Raiders’ QB situation in flux and Brady’s glowing endorsement of Sanders in the past, it’s easy to see why fans are connecting the dots. The Colorado phenom has shown flashes of brilliance, and with Brady now part of the Raiders organization, some wonder if the young Sanders could soon find himself donning silver and black. Las Vegas, sitting fourth overall, could definitely go for Sanders to lead its franchise.
2025 NFL Draft Top QB Prospects Including Sanders
NFL teams are on their toes as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the 2025 NFL season with all eyes set on Colorado’s Sanders. He has established himself as a top QB prospect and NFL analyst Colin Cowherd believes that Deion’s son has separated himself from the pack.
“That’s the No. 1 pick,” Cowherd said on his podcast.

This was right after the Buffs suffered a Week 7 loss, but Sanders shined. He threw 34 passes, registering 388 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

He boasts a completion rate of 72.6%, 2,018 passing yards, and 17 touchdowns in the 2024 college football season, and there’s no doubt his stock is soaring.
Cowherd’s endorsement is backed by other experts, including Fox Sports’ Rob Rang, who projects Sanders as the first off the board in his latest mock draft.
