Authorities have released new details about the 2025 burglary at the home of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, outlining how three masked suspects entered the residence and stole an estimated $200,000 worth of property during a brief but coordinated break‑in.
The incident prompted a months-long investigation by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, as deputies worked to identify everyone involved and piece together what had happened.
New Details Emerge in Shedeur Sanders Home Burglary Case
The latest update was first shared publicly by ESPN Browns reporter Daniel Oyefusi, who posted on Wednesday that the sheriff’s office had completed its investigation and identified all four individuals believed to be connected to the crime. The department’s findings offer the clearest account yet of how the burglary unfolded inside Sanders’ home.
According to the sheriff’s report, three masked and gloved suspects entered Sanders’ residence on November 16, 2025, at approximately 6:46 p.m. Surveillance cameras inside the home captured video of the suspects as they entered and exited different portions of the property. The footage shows the individuals moving through multiple areas of the residence during the break‑in.

The suspects were seen leaving the home at approximately 6:58 p.m. with various items belonging to Sanders. Investigators estimate that about $200,000 in property was stolen during the 12‑minute burglary. The report did not specify what items were taken, but noted that the surveillance footage clearly documented the suspects’ movements throughout the home.
The sheriff’s office said it has positively identified the three suspects who entered the residence, along with the driver of the vehicle involved in the burglary. According to the report, three of the suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody. The fourth suspect remains at large and has an active arrest warrant.
Authorities did not release additional details about the suspects, the circumstances of the arrests, or whether any of Sanders’ stolen property has been recovered. The investigation remains active as deputies continue searching for the remaining individual.
Sanders was not home at the time of the burglary. The break‑in occurred during a challenging rookie season for the Browns quarterback, who finished with 1,400 passing yards, seven touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and a 56.6% completion rate.
Kevin Stefanski’s firing has also created uncertainty around Sanders’ long‑term outlook in Cleveland. A new coaching staff will inherit a quarterback coming off a difficult rookie season, and the organization could choose to let him compete for the starting job or decide to move in a different direction. Sanders’ role will depend heavily on the next regime’s evaluation and overall vision for the roster.
