Seahawks 2025 7-Round Mock Draft: Seattle Lands 26-TD WR and 76-TD QB To Grow Behind Sam Darnold

The year 2025 has brought plenty of changes for the Seattle Seahawks. The team said goodbye to its iconic receiver duo of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, while quarterback Geno Smith was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sam Darnold is now the man charged with leading the Seahawks’ offense. In the latest seven-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from PFSN’s Brentley Weissman, he gets a new stud receiver in the first round that can help him do just that.

    18) Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

“Receivers quickly became a pressing need for the Seattle Seahawks after the team traded DK Metcalf and allowed Tyler Lockett to walk in free agency. Tetairoa McMillan falls to them here, and this fit is too good not to make happen,” Weissman said.

‘McMillan is a big-bodied pass catcher who would be a great complement to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is a shiftier and more precise route runner. With McMillan in the fold, new quarterback Sam Darnold will have two talented receivers at his disposal.”

The Seahawks made moves to add Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency, but all of the offseason movement has stripped the identity away from the Seahawks’ offense. While Kupp should prove a solid addition, his name is synonymous with the team’s NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams. Darnold and Valdes-Scantling could work out wonderfully in Seattle, but it all just feels thrown together.

Acquiring a key offensive piece through the draft would bring back a small sense of ownership. McMillan’s obvious talent would also complete an offensive revamp that, to this point, feels a bit underwhelming.

    50) Wyatt Milum, OG, West Virginia

“A college tackle who lacks length, Wyatt Milum’s best position in the NFL will likely be inside at guard. He is a hard-nosed, reliable blocker who can stabilize the weak interior of the Seahawks’ offensive line,” Weissman said.

Geno Smith was hit 57 times in 2024, tied with Jared Goff for the fifth-most in the league. The team also lost Laken Tomlinson, who started all 17 games in 2024, to free agency. Milum could slot straight into the hole vacated by Tomlinson as the team attempts to better protect Darnold.

    52) Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State

“Azareye’h Thomas screams Seattle corner with his length and overall athleticism. He is very young and still developing but has the physical talent to become a top-tier starter in the league,” Weissman said.

Seattle just lost Tre Brown and Artie Burns to free agency, so adding a cornerback makes sense. Thomas should be able to offer an upgrade on those two outgoing corners, but he may have to be patient with several talented corners already on the roster.

    82) Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson

“Seattle continues to add to their defense, and now they look to do so at the linebacker position. Barrett Carter is a prototypical three-down linebacker who possesses good athleticism and instincts,” Weissman said.

Carter registered double-digit tackles for loss in each of his final three years in college. The Seahawks would hope he can do the same for them after managing just 74 in 2024, the eighth fewest in the NFL.

    92) Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

“Seattle signed Darnold this offseason to be their quarterback for at least 2025, but there’s reason to believe that Darnold may not be the long-term answer at the position. Quinn Ewers gets unfairly criticized, in my opinion, and I believe he has enough talent to take a chance on at this point in the third round,” Weissman said.

Ewers is one of a small group of quarterbacks likely to be taken on Day 2 of April’s draft. While Seattle just signed Darnold to a multi-year deal, that deal could easily be cut short if things don’t work out. One promising season under Kevin O’Connell in Minnesota hasn’t been enough for people to forget his past struggles.

Ewers would enter the 2025 season as Darnold’s backup but could quickly get an opportunity to impress if Darnold reverts to his old ways.

    137) Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Oregon

A former safety, Jeffrey Bassa was moved to linebacker at Oregon and excelled against both the run and the pass. Captaining the Oregon defense in 2024, Bassa recorded three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two passes defended.

    172) Fadil Diggs, EDGE, Syracuse

A gifted athlete, as showcased by his impressive combine performance, Fadil Diggs saved his best for last in college. After four years at Texas A&M, Diggs transferred to Syracuse and tallied 7.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, one pass defended, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery over his senior year.

    175) Ahmed Hassanein, EDGE, Boise State

Despite not taking up football until 2019, Ahmed Hassanein was playing for Boise State in 2021. He naturally took some time to develop but broke out in a big way during his junior year. Over his final two college seasons, Hassanein managed 22 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

    223) Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, DT, Georgia

With rare athleticism for his size, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins would likely be better known had he transferred from Georgia. Capitalizing on an injury to Mykel Williams, Ingram-Dawkins finally got to show what he could do in 2024. The gifted defensive lineman tallied three sacks and eight tackles for loss, along with one forced fumble and two passes defended across his limited opportunities in his final year.

    234) Xavier Truss, OG, Georgia

An impressive physical specimen, Xavier Truss stands 6-foot-7 with big hands and a gaping wingspan. This late in the draft, taking a shot on a physical prospect who earned a starting role at Georgia is never a bad bet.
