His response during an episode of “Hard Knocks: In-Season With the AFC North” gave the Steelers’ faithful hope. When asked by a young fan about re-signing, Wilson’s reply was optimistic yet measured, “Hopefully, I love it here. It’s cool. Hopefully get to win a Super Bowl.”

His Broncos tenure didn’t pan out as expected, but a fresh start in Pittsburgh brings positivity. He missed the first six games of the season due to a calf injury but returned. He’s back on the field, but the question is whether Wilson’s time in Pittsburgh will be extended.
Pittsburgh has a young and promising backup in Justin Fields. However, Wilson and Fields will be free agents in 2025.
Meanwhile, an extension for Wilson would likely come with a hefty price tag, and it remains to be seen if the Steelers are willing to commit long-term, especially with a 25-year-old Fields potentially waiting in the wings.
Wilson may be focused on finishing the season strong to make his case but has one eye set on future scenarios, too.
