Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs suffered an injury in the club’s Week 12 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Here’s the latest after Sunday’s game.
What Happened to Romeo Doubs?
Doubs stayed down on the field after taking an awkward end-zone fall midway through the fourth quarter. He drew a pass interference call on a pass attempt from Jordan Love, giving the Packers the ball at San Francisco’s one-yard line.
Doubs eventually departed the field with assistance from fellow Green Bay wide receivers Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, who guided Doubs into the medical tent along the Packers’ sideline.
Doubs subsequently left the medical tent and slowly walked to Green Bay’s locker room, per Ryan Wood of USA Today.

Doubs entered Sunday’s game second among Packers pass catchers in targets (47), receptions (31), and receiving yards (429) while fourth in receiving touchdowns (two).
He was leading Green Bay with 54 yards on three catches before exiting Week 12.
Did Doubs Return in Week 12?
Doubs did not return to Sunday’s game.
The Packers announced that Doubs was ruled out with a concussion with roughly three minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Not only will Doubs miss the remainder of Week 12, but he’s in significant danger of sitting out when the Packers face the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day.
After the game, Packers head Matt LaFleur spoke about Doubs’ injury.
“That’s unfortunate because I thought Rome was really having himself a really great game,” LaFleur said. “He came out, made some critical plays — that third-down long was pretty special where he almost got out the backside. He is very, very consistent. So, you know, if we don’t have him that’s a big loss, but we do feel like we have other guys. This can open up some other opportunities for some of these other guys.”
Most players require at least one week of recovery before exiting the NFL’s concussion protocol. With only four days until Green Bay’s next game, Doubs has almost no chance of being cleared for Week 13.
Fantasy Impact of Doubs’ Injury
Jayden Reed is the top receiver in this Packers offense, but the target hierarchy consistently changes after him. Doubs wasn’t a huge part of this offense. Still, any vacating of opportunities opens up the potential for players like Christian Watson or Tucker Kraft to establish themselves as viable Flex options.
Green Bay will have to score (Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions up soon), adding upside for all involved. With no teams on bye in Week 13, Watson is more of a deep-league option should Doubs sit while Kraft moves into the low-end TE1 conversation.
