Adam Schefter broke the news that one of Lamar Jackson’s star receivers has signed an extension to remain in Baltimore. Ravens wide receiver, Rashod Bateman, has signed a new deal with the team. Bateman will spend his next three seasons in Baltimore, a much-welcomed extension as the Ravens’ hunt for a Super Bowl continues.

Rashod Bateman Signs 3-Year $36.75M Extension
With $20 million of the $36.75 million being guaranteed, Bateman got a great deal to continue to play for the Ravens. With the likes of Zay Flowers and DeAndre Hopkins ahead of him, Bateman is in WR2/WR3 territory on the team, but remains a valuable asset.
The 25-year-old has been with the Ravens since 2021, with him staying in town for the next three years.

Bateman had a career year in 2024, finishing the season with 45 receptions for 756 yards. He was just one reception shy of the 46 catches he had in his rookie season. Back in 2021, though, those 46 receptions were only good for 515 yards and one touchdown. He increased his yards per catch by over five yards and had eight more touchdowns than he did coming out of college.
Having only lost one fumble in his career, Bateman is one of the most reliable WR3s a team could ask for. He saw a career high 72 targets last season, and his 756 yards were good for 104 more than he had in 2022 and 2023 combined.
Signing his rookie contract in May 2021, Bateman locked in a four-year, $12.6 million deal. He was able to get a $6.5 million signing bonus, but this new three-year extension has more guaranteed money than he made in his entire rookie deal.
The Minnesota graduate had a touchdown in each of the Ravens’ postseason games last season. He ended Baltimore’s run in the playoffs with six receptions for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Last season, Bateman only had one game without a reception. There were four times when he was held to only one catch in the game, with his most being six receptions against the Bengals on Thursday Night Football.
Bateman had a 121-yard receiving game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football in week seven. When the lights shine the brightest, Bateman is known to step up and make a big play. He might not be the best receiver on the Ravens, and he might not be Lamar Jackson’s favorite or go-to target, but Bateman has proved himself worthy of the contract extension and will help the team tremendously on offense.
