WATCH: Ravens Star Lamar Jackson Sends Heartfelt Message to Young Fan Fighting Cancer

Lamar Jackson has been putting in hard work at Baltimore Ravens OTAs, but that hasn’t prevented him from taking time out to show support to a young fan.

The two-time NFL MVP recently pledged his support for Isaiah, a 15-year-old from Florida who has been battling a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma. His dream is to play defensive back for his high school football team. Isaiah’s TikTok videos have invoked inspirational messages from college football players and NFL professionals.

Jackson jumped on social media in recent days to lend his voice to the cause. The Ravens star has long been known as a positive influence in the Baltimore community.

Lamar Jackson Sends Heartwarming Message to Young Fan with Cancer

Jackson has always made headlines for being supportive of Ravens fans and the Baltimore community. The star quarterback has donated money to “Blessings in a Backpack” — a non-profit organization that fills backpacks full of food for needy children — and runs the “Forever Dreamers Foundation,” which promotes a better understanding of mental health issues and encourages children to dream big.

Jackson’s most recent gesture involved a video message to Isaiah, in which the five-time Pro Bowler sent love and encouragement to the young man.

“Isaiah, it’s your guy, Lamar Jackson here,” Jackson said. “I just want to let you know my thoughts and prayers go out to you, man. Keep God first, keep battling.”

Jackson is one of the most beloved players in the entire NFL. Born in Pompano Beach, Fla., the 28-year-old quarterback has a legitimate Florida connection and drew on his vast network of celebrity friends to keep Isaiah in their thoughts.

Jackson’s Generosity and Community Work

As previously mentioned, Jackson is well known for looking out for others. In 2018, Jackson donated $25,000 to “Blessings in a Backpack” for them to start a chapter in Louisville, Ky., where Jackson played in college.

That same year, Jackson founded the “Forever Dreamers Foundation,” which hosts annual youth football tournaments, community fun days, and Thanksgiving turkey drives — all while shining a bright spotlight on the mental health crisis.

In 2024, the Foundation delivered meals to poverty-stricken families in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Poverty affects over 20% of the nation’s population, with almost 30% of children under five suffering from anemia (per the World Food Program)

Following Ravens’ playoff loss to the Bills in January 2021, Buffalo fans set out to support “Blessings in a Backpack” after Jackson suffered a concussion in the game. The movement took off and raised more than $500,000 for the organization.

That money allowed them to build 15 new chapters across Buffalo and Baltimore, helping 1,641 new children who were previously not in the program, and providing over 137,000 weekend food packs across the nation.
