The Cleveland Browns quarterback situation has been the talk of the league since the team selected Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft. While veteran signal-caller Joe Flacco started the year, he was quickly replaced by Gabriel.
Now, with Gabriel going out of the Week 11 game with a concussion, all eyes turned to the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback and son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders to take over under center against the Baltimore Ravens. He had a quick welcome to the NFL moment thanks to a Ravens defensive back.
Kyle Hamilton Clowns Shedeur Sanders After Sack
After an eleven-week wait, Sanders finally found his way to the field for the Browns to make his NFL debut. After much discussion and comments made by plenty of parties about whether Sanders would be a better option for the Browns than Gabriel, it was finally Sanders’ time to show what he could do.
While he would complete two passes for 12 yards, on a third and eight, Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton welcomed the rookie to the league, sacking Sanders and forcing a fumble. While Browns offensive lineman Wyatt Teller would pounce back on the football, the eleven-yard loss would bring up a fourth and 21, forcing a punt.

After getting up from the sack, Hamilton would celebrate by mocking Sanders’ signature celebration, getting up and showing off his wrist to the crowd. The celebration stemmed from a 2023 game against Arizona State.
After Sanders and Colorado beat the Sun Devils, the QB put on his watch, ran to the student section, and flexed his $70,000 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500. He would start flexing his wrist to celebrate in games, whether he was wearing the watch or not.
While he has only had a few snaps, it will be interesting to see if the Browns will stick with Sanders after the Week 11 game. According to PFSN’s Offense Impact (OFFi) rating, the Browns have the lowest-ranked offense in the NFL with a score of 54.6. PFSN arrives at the grade by combining a variety of passing and rushing EPA and success rate metrics, as well as situational performances in areas like the red zone and third downs.
While Sanders hasn’t had too many snaps, he hasn’t been able to do much more with a struggling Browns offense than Gabriel. However, if he’s able to hold on to a big win over the Ravens, it will be interesting to see if he gets another shot in Week 12.
