What is the injury report for the Divisional Round matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Which players have already been ruled out and who is a question mark after being designated as questionable or doubtful?

Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers injury report

A total of 22 players have appeared on the injury report for either the Rams or Buccaneers this week. Four of those have already been ruled out for this weekend, with one player doubtful and five players listed as questionable.

Let’s examine the injury report for both the Rams and Buccaneers and see which key players have been affected.

Rams injury report

  • OL Andrew Whitworth (Knee) – Out
  • S Taylor Rapp (Concussion) – Out
  • RB Buddy Howell (Hamstring) – Doubtful
  • WR Brandon Powell (Ribs)
  • ILB Troy Reeder (Ankle)
  • WR Ben Skowronek (Back)

Taylor Rapp and Andrew Whitworth being unable to get back on the field is a big blow for the Rams. Rapp could not work his way out of the concussion protocol, having now spent two straight weeks on the shelf.

Whitworth injured his knee on the Rams’ first play last week and was unable to return to practice this week. That is a major blow for the Rams, who will be without the third-ranked OT in ESPN’s pass block win rate this season.

RB Buddy Howell is doubtful with a hamstring injury. His absence hurts the Rams on special teams, as he’s played 57% of the special-teams snaps this season. There was good news for the Rams as they managed to clear Powell, Reeder, and Skowronek after Friday’s practice.

Buccaneers injury report

  • RB Ronald Jones II (Ankle) – Out
  • WR Breshad Perriman (Hip/Abdomen) – Out
  • WR Cyril Grayson Jr. (Hamstring) – Questionable
  • C Ryan Jensen (Ankle) – Questionable
  • OT Tristan Wirfs (Ankle) – Questionable
  • OLB Jason Pierre-Paul (Not Injury Related/Personal) – Questionable
  • CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (Hamstring) – Questionable
  • OLB Shaquil Barrett (Knee)
  • RB Giovani Bernard (Hip/Knee)
  • ILB Lavonte David (Foot)
  • S Mike Edwards (Elbow)
  • OT Josh Wells (Quadriceps)
  • QB Tom Brady (Not Injury Related)
  • DL Steve McLendon (Not Injury Related)
  • TE Rob Gronkowski (Not Injury Related)
  • DL Ndamukong Suh (Not Injury Related)

The Bucs had 16 players on their injury report this week. Four of them were simply listed for rest purposes. They also managed to clear Josh Wells, Mike Edwards, Lavonte David, Giovani Bernard, and Shaquil Barrett. They also activated RB Leonard Fournette from injured reserve, which is a big boost for the Buccaneers.

The news regarding Fournette is more important, given the Buccaneers have ruled Ronald Jones out for the second week in a row with an ankle injury. Jones was one of two players ruled out, along with WR Breshad Perriman. The WR issues are exacerbated with Cyril Grayson also questionable with a hamstring injury.

There are some key pieces listed as questionable for the Buccaneers. The potential absence of Ryan Jensen and Tristan Wirfs is perhaps the most concerning. Both managed to return to practice in a limited fashion Friday. On defense, both Jason Pierre-Paul and Sean Murphy-Bunting are questionable.
