While the Los Angeles Rams fell short of delivering postseason glory last season—losing to the eventual champion Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round—the team is aiming to inspire the community with a unique and heartfelt initiative for the 2025 NFL Draft.
In the wake of January’s devastating wildfires, the Rams are taking their Draft operations to a local fire station, highlighting their ongoing efforts to support and uplift the community.

Rams to Draft from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Air Operations
ESPN Insider Adam Schefter reported the development on January 17 after the Rams released a teaser video featuring head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead.
According to Schefter, the pair will work within LAFD Air Operations from April 24-26 to honor the department for its efforts during January’s wildfires.

It’s the first time in history that a fire station will serve as the NFL Draft war room of a team, and Rams president Kevin Demoff termed it a “powerful reminder of what it meant to represent Los Angeles.”
“Drafting from LAFD Air Operations is a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Los Angeles,” said Demoff. “Since the wildfires devastated our region in January, we have looked to bring LA Together to help with the recovery efforts, raise the spirits of those impacted, and shine a light on our first responders. We are humbled to partner with LAFD during one of the NFL’s biggest moments to express gratitude for those who risk their lives daily to protect our city.”
In partnership with Zillow and Bob’s Discount Furniture, the Rams will also renovate the LAFD Air Operations’ recreation room as a tribute to the firefighters’ heroic efforts. Additionally, the team will host a special “chalk talk” session with head coach Sean McVay, GM Les Snead, and other team executives for first responders from across the region who assisted during the wildfires.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Los Angeles Rams for their unwavering support of the Los Angeles City Fire Department and our wildfire-impacted communities. Hosting the NFL Draft at LAFD Air Operations highlights the critical role our Air Operations plays in protecting Los Angeles, especially during wildfire season. The Rams’ generosity—renovating our station and recognizing our firefighters—demonstrates a deep commitment to the city we all serve. We look forward to standing alongside the Rams in this meaningful event,” said Interim Fire Chief Ronnie Villanueva.
The Rams have supported wildfire victims in multiple ways, including hosting two large-scale distribution camps for evacuated families in recent months. In total, the team has donated nearly $2 million toward fire relief efforts. Quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, also contributed by providing new uniforms and football equipment to students at Pasadena High School and the Pasadena Panthers Youth Football program, who lost their gear in the wildfires.
