Raiders vs. Bengals Player Props: Joe Burrow and Derek Carr provide value

There are a few interesting Raiders vs. Bengals player props available on Joe Burrow and Derek Carr for Wild Card Weekend.

The Los Angeles Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals will face off in a rematch of Week 11. Cincinnati picked up an easy win, as the game ended 32-13. It forced both offenses to become somewhat one-dimensional for the majority of the contest. I’m expecting a significantly closer game this weekend (5-point spread). In a game that could quickly turn into a shootout, here are our favorite NFL betting player props for the Raiders-Bengals matchup this weekend as Joe Burrow and Derek Carr take center stage.

    Raiders vs. Bengals player props

There are several great props in this game, as most players seem to be undervalued. That can happen in a rematch after the first game was so one-sided. The first contest created an unrealistic expectation for the game script when the initial game was likely an outlier.

Ultimately, this game should be significantly closer with both teams playing for their seasons. Although I prefer the Bengals in this matchup, they’re unlikely to get out to such a large lead, limiting the snaps for each team.

These teams average a combined 125.1 plays per game this season. They totaled only 121 plays in their first matchup, with fewer than 50 going to the Raiders. This is important because the Bengals spent the majority of the game running the clock out, as Joe Mixon recorded 30 rush attempts.

With this game likely being much more back and forth, we can take advantage of a couple of props involving the quarterbacks.

    Joe Burrow player props

Burrow wasn’t needed in the first matchup between these teams. He threw for only 148 yards with 1 touchdown on 29 pass attempts. Burrow is the type of player that is at his best in high-pressure situations. He’s proven it throughout his career, and that’s been the case to end the season.

Burrow has recorded 300+ passing yards in four of his last five games. His only struggles during that stretch came on 22 pass attempts against the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Overall, Burrow’s averaging 355.2 passing yards per game over the last five weeks. He’s posted 971 yards over his last two games.

Burrow and Co. get a good matchup against Las Vegas. The Raiders are only allowing 222.9 passing yards per game this season, but they’re giving up 7.1 adjusted yards per attempt. This game has the capability to quickly become a high-scoring affair, and Burrow should lead the Cincinnati offense as he has over the last few weeks.

Bet Joe Burrow over 263.5 passing yards (-115)

    Derek Carr player props

Carr performed relatively well in the Week 11 matchup, but he didn’t see the volume because of a lack of plays. He posted 215 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception on only 27 pass attempts.

Carr hasn’t been playing overly well in recent games. He’s posted 253+ passing yards in only two of his last five games. With that being said, Carr’s consistently recorded pass attempts in the high 30s throughout the season. He gets a great matchup against Cincinnati, who’s giving up 248.4 passing yards per game this season. They’re also allowing 7.1 adjusted yards per attempt.

The Bengals have struggled mightily against tight ends throughout the season, and Darren Waller will return this week. He posted 116 yards in their first matchup, and he adds elite value to Carr.

Overall, I expect this game to turn into something of a shootout, giving both quarterbacks the opportunity to find success. These totals are set a bit low, and we can take the over on both.

Bet Derek Carr over 252.5 passing yards (-115)
