Should You Start Rachaad White or Bijan Robinson in Fantasy Football Week 14?

Should fantasy football managers have Rachaad White or Bijan Robinson in their lineup during the Week 14 matchup between the Falcons and the Buccaneers?

We are now about at the end of the fantasy football regular season and approaching the playoffs. Each decision could be the difference between a fantasy championship or a disappointing end to the fantasy season.

Running backs Rachaad White and Bijan Robinson are two guys that fantasy managers will be looking to have in their lineup. Which one should managers start if they are fortunate enough to have a surplus at the position?

Should You Start Rachaad White or Bijan Robinson This Week?

In the Pro Football Network Start/Sit Optimizer, PFN’s Consensus Rankings say that White is the player to start. His projected 15.8 points include a projection of 42 rushing yards, 6 receptions, and 35 yards. That outperforms the consensus projection for Robinson (12.9 points).

It is a tough one, but I am going to go against the Optimizer on this one. Thus, I am going to go with Robinson. These two running backs will be facing each other Sunday, and I trust the Atlanta Falcons, with Robinson at the forefront, to get the job done.

Robinson’s Fantasy Outlook Week 14

As a fantasy manager who had Robinson on their team this year, I get the frustrations at times with his usage at the hands of head coach Arthur Smith. However, the rookie running back from Texas has had a pretty solid year.

He currently has 1,022 total yards of offense (756 rushing and 266 receiving) and six total touchdowns. He is a very skilled receiver out of the backfield, as he had 35 catches as well. At his best, Robinson is a guy who could get around 25 touches and easily produce 100-120 yards from scrimmage.

However, there have been some weird instances where he hasn’t seen the ball much, epitomized against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. He finished the game with one carry for three yards, and then left the game and didn’t come back in. He wasn’t on the injury report, but it was later said that he was dealing with migraines.

Tampa Bay has done a solid job of stopping the run, as the Buccaneers rank 10th against it (99.0 yards per game). Tampa’s pass defense has seen struggles, though, as the team ranks 28th in the NFL (257.9 yards per game).

Robinson is absolutely capable of making plays out of the backfield. His recent momentum makes this feel like he may just have his best game of the season.

The Falcons are right there in the division, and this is a huge game for the NFC South. Look for the Falcons to give their rookie running back the ball early and often, and for Robinson to have 120+ yards of total offense and at least one touchdown in Week 14.

White’s Fantasy Outlook This Week

White has been very good recently for the Buccaneers, as he has rushed for 84 and 100 yards in the past two games. He has been even better at catching the ball out of the backfield, as he has 46 catches for 386 yards and one score.

Baker Mayfield looks for White a lot, and he has returned the favor catching just under 91% percent of his targets (46 of 51).

I think both of these running backs are going to have big games in this matchup, but I trust the Atlanta defense a little more. In the first game against the Falcons, White had just 34 rushing yards. He did have a big game as a receiver, finishing with six catches for 65 yards.

If either one of these guys is in your lineup, you should be in for a solid day. However, I think the Falcons win this game, and the difference will be Robinson getting in the endzone.
