Are Eagles on Path To Drafting Top Cornerback With 2024 First-Round Pick?

As of now, Philadelphia’s starting outside cornerbacks are projected to be Darius Slay and James Bradberry. Slay is 33 years old and Bradberry is 30 years old — it’s clear that Philadelphia needs to get younger at the position. Roseman and the Eagles have been doing their due diligence by hosting several top cornerback prospects on top 30 visits.

Daniel Jeremiah Identifies 3 Teams That Could Be ‘Aggressive’ With NFL Draft Trades

While top 30 visits have been a clear indicator of Philadelphia’s draft interest in recent years, Roseman has also shown a desire to trade up in recent drafts. NFL Network Draft Analyst Daniel Jeremiah mentioned the Eagles when asked which teams could trade up in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Based on which players have visited Philadelphia during the pre-draft process, a trade for Terrion Arnold or Laiatu Latu would make a ton of sense.

Thus far, 27 of Philadelphia’s 30 visits have been reported during the pre-draft process. Now that the window for top 30 visits is officially closed, that is likely all of the information that will be reported before the 2024 NFL Draft.

Based on the prospects that have been linked to the Eagles, it’s fair to speculate that Philadelphia will target offensive linemen and cornerbacks in the early rounds of this year’s event.

Report: Eagles Shut Down Trade Inquiries for A.J. Brown

Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown changed his profile picture on social media to a picture of former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. In typical fashion, the world overreacted to such a minor change, and Brown’s name was suddenly thrown in trade rumors. Albert Breer of NBC Sports Boston reported that teams have asked about Brown’s availability in a trade and the Eagles have quickly shut down those inquiries.

NFL Source: Eagles’ Isaiah Rodgers Reinstatement Case Still Under Review

Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers Sr. was released from the Indianapolis Colts following an indefinite suspension for gambling. While many assumed Rodgers would be reinstated this offseason, that might not be the case. The NFL reinstated several players who were suspended due to gambling on Thursday, yet Rodgers was omitted. Since Rodgers admitted to betting on his team, there is a chance that his suspension will be longer.
