The Philadelphia Eagles enter the regular season with high expectations despite their disastrous collapse in 2023.
After going 1-5 in their final six games last season, followed by a 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round, general manager Howie Roseman got to work this past offseason in re-tooling the team.
Now that the preseason has come to a close, it’s time to trim the roster down to 53 players.

Philadelphia Eagles Cuts Analysis
Of the Eagles’ cuts today, perhaps the most notable shakeup was at the wide receiver position.
Before acquiring Jahan Dotson from the Washington Commanders, Parris Campbell was firmly in the mix to be the WR3 this season.
However, with Dotson’s arrival, Campbell went from potential starter to an unnecessary piece. While Campbell may be the team’s fourth most reliable option at the position, the Eagles had to prioritize Britain Covey for the return game and Johnny Wilson is a sixth-round pick rookie with upside.
Another notable move at wide receiver was the decision to release John Ross. Although Ross was a long shot to make the team, there was still some intrigue in the former top-10 pick.
