As we enter the month of December, a crucial 2024 NFL Draft checkpoint has passed. With it comes plenty of questions about the draft as a whole as it evolves on the way to April. The latest PFN Scouting Podcast addressed some of these questions.
PFN Scouting Podcast: December 2024 NFL Draft Mailbag
Not long ago, we entered the 2023 season with our preseason rankings and pre-emptive suspicions about the 2024 NFL Draft class.
Now, the regular season has mostly passed, and a whole campaign’s worth of 2024 NFL Draft tape is left for evaluators to view one, two, and even three times over.
The 2024 NFL Draft class is still developing, and rankings will still evolve as the cycle goes on. But for most teams — save for conference title contenders and CFB Playoff seeds — the process of accumulating tape is complete.
At this juncture, there’s still plenty of unknown with the 2024 class and plenty of unanswered questions. On the latest episode of the PFN Scouting Podcast, co-host Dalton Miller and I fielded over a dozen inquiries and gave our thoughts on each.
Who are the top non-quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft? How do positions like edge rushers and linebackers stack up? What about safeties? Are we missing something in Washington Huskies QB Michael Penix Jr.‘s evaluation? Which prospects are primed to rise in the offseason?
These are just a few of the many quality questions we were able to answer within our 45-minute window this week.
