FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots held their second Week 2 practice on Thursday afternoon.

Let’s get into everything we saw during the media-access portion of practice, including the continued absence of a starting offensive lineman.

Patriots guard Sidy Sow was the only player absent from Thursday’s practice. The projected starting left guard didn’t play in Week 1 and hasn’t practiced since suffering an ankle injury during New England’s preseason finale. Sow was spotted walking without a limp in the locker room before practice, so he clearly is making progress.

Practice squad guard Michael Jordan appears primed to make a second consecutive start if Sow can’t return for Sunday’s home game against the Seattle Seahawks.

All other banged-up players, including safety Jabrill Peppers, tackle Vederian Lowe, defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr., and running back Antonio Gibson, were on the field.

The Patriots will practice again on Friday before holding a closed walkthrough on Saturday.

Sunday’s game against Seattle is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET.

    Assorted Notes from Patriots Practice
