Let’s be honest, Patrick Mahomes is a great football player and all, but his voice is awesome. How this man hasn’t been featured on a studio album, I have no idea. If Travis and Jason Kelce can collaborate with Boyz II Men for some holiday music, artists should be lined up out the door to work with Mahomes — imagine the harmonies.
The next best thing to Mahomes singing karaoke is him mic’d up on the football field, and that’s exactly what the Kansas City Chiefs bestowed upon us yesterday in honor of Mahomes’ 29th birthday.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ Tribute to Patrick Mahomes Is Our Comedic Gain
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Shakespeare’s famous passage in As You Like It doesn’t quite pinpoint how much we love seeing Mahomes as one of the players on the world’s stage. I didn’t venture into my soul deep enough to understand how much I needed to hear Mahomes say “boop.”
Between the little quirks, chest bumps, and getting a sneak peek at a potential holiday album (spoiler: He sings Feliz Navidad in the snow), Mahomes’ montage reminds us how relatable the best football player in the world is.

Mahomes and the Chiefs look poised for a run at a three-peat, beginning the season 2-0, albeit in nail-biting fashion.
They escaped Week 1 with Baltimore Ravens TE Isaiah Likely stepping out of bounds on a potential game-winning catch by inches. The Chiefs then won by the slimmest of margins (26-25) on a 51-yard field goal as time expired to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.
In Week 3, Kansas City goes on the road for the first time in the 2024 season, taking on the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons will be riding high after a last-minute victory of their own catapulted them ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in front of a stunned Lincoln Financial Field.

We can only hope that we’ll hear Mahomes mic’d up on a prime-time game in the near future, or singing Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, whichever comes first.
