Packers Predicted To Improve Jordan Love’s Weapons by Adding 6’3”, 29-TD WR in 2025 NFL Draft

The Green Bay Packers have some solid offensive weapons. Running back Josh Jacobs was awesome for Green Bay this season, and the receivers all pitched in. The Packers had four pass-catchers over 600 receiving yards, but no one stood out above the rest as the clear No. 1 option.

The Packers handed Jordan Love a huge extension last offseason and need to surround him with more consistent weapons. In PFSN’s newest 7-round mock draft by Ben Rolfe, they want to give Love a prolific pass catcher in the second round. At pick No. 54, the Packers are projected to take Tre Harris from the Ole Miss Rebels.

What Tre Harris Provides to Green Bay

Harris is a big receiver standing at 6’3″ and produced plenty over his five seasons in college football. He would provide the Packers with a big frame and another weapon that could emerge as Love’s No. 1 receiver.

“The Packers are in a weird spot at WR. They have many talented players, but they lack a true No. 1. Those are hard to find, and how you define true No. 1 is not the same for everyone. Tre Harris might not fit the typical mindset for that, but he is a very good red-zone receiver, which has a lot of value,” Rolfe said.

Harris has an ideal frame, precise route running, and strong body control, which makes him a promising possession receiver for the professional level. The Packers have a lot of speed and game-breaking ability, but some of their receivers lack consistency. Harris could be that chain-mover who they can rely on all over the field and in the end zone.”

Harris tallied 60 receptions, 1,030 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in only eight games in 2024. In a high-powered offense for the Rebels with emerging QB Jaxson Dart, the Rebels relied on Harris as a No. 1 option before his injury. Harris led the team in receiving in each of its first five games of this season and ended as their receiving yards leader even with the injury.

He had success outside of this past season as well. He started his collegiate career at Louisiana Tech. He spent three years with the Bulldogs before finishing with two at Ole Miss. He recorded 220 receptions, 3,532 receiving yards, and 29 touchdowns in his college career.

Harris has been productive, and his big stature offers Love a target that he can rely on deep in opposing territory. The Packers lack a true red-zone threat.

Christian Watson, standing at 6’4″, has struggled to stay healthy for all 17 games and hasn’t been very productive when on the field. Harris has been durable throughout his collegiate career, playing 12 games for three straight seasons before missing time in 2024. He would provide a consistent and reliable threat in the red zone that can be productive all around the field as well.
