Simone Biles Rallies Behind Husband Jonathan Owens in ‘Weekend Full of Football’ After Ohio-Penn State Appearance

Simone Biles graced Paycor Stadium on Sunday to support her husband, Jonathan Owens, in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The American gymnast’s presence has become a familiar sight at Chicago Bears games, especially after she took a break from the gymnastics mat following the 2024 Olympics.

Besides the NFL, Biles also has an interest in collegiate football and recently attended the Ohio State-Penn State game, which the Buckeyes won by a dominant 38-14 scoreline.

How did Simone Biles express support for Owens during the game against the Cincinnati Bengals?

Her husband’s team perfectly entertained Biles as the Bears clinched a tight 47-42 win. Quarterback Caleb Williams was one of the essential contributors during this game with three touchdowns.

Following the match, Biles shared glimpses from her time in the stadium on her Instagram. In the pictures, she can be seen embracing her husband with a hug just before the kickoff, while wearing custom-made hoodies and matching lowers with Owens’ jersey number and name written behind them to support the latter. Biles further added in her story, “a weekend full of football.”

Biles also traveled to Madrid a few days ago to attend a red-carpet event for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. In the star-studded event, the American gymnast also received the honor as one of Harper’s Bazaar’s Women of the Year 2025.

Biles Explains the Paradigm Shift in Mentality She Had While Choosing the Idol She Wants to Be

With her exploits in gymnastics over the years, Biles has established herself as a living icon in the sports world. However, for the American gymnast, it wasn’t easy to put on the shoes of being a role model, especially to young gymnasts.

In an interview, Bol shed light on this matter, stating, “I was becoming an idol or role model for young gymnasts, and I was really intimidated by that factor. I thought that I had to be perfect in everything I did in the gym and outside the gym.”

The American gymnast further explained the paradigm shift in her mentality. “It came to me at one point that I am still young, and if I can be raw, open, honest, and vulnerable on my platforms, and people can see that I’m still human rather than just a gold medal winning machine, then that’s what I’m gonna do,” Biles added.
