American gymnast Simone Biles has fully embraced the NFL lifestyle by wearing custom-made game-day outfits dedicated to her husband, Jonathan Owens.
Owens plays as a safety for the Chicago Bears, with Biles often in attendance to show her support. The NFL star has had a solid start to the season so far, recording 13 tackles without any sacks, forced fumbles, or interceptions.
How has Simone Biles embraced the NFL lifestyle?
Biles has been cheering from the sidelines as Owens played for the Bears this season, donning stylish custom-made game-day outfits. For instance, during a Bears vs. Lions Game in September, Biles wore a pair of custom black jeans with bedazzled cursive words that said “Jonathan” along one leg and “Owens” on the other. She also wore a black leather clutch that looked like a football.
In October, Biles continued to show her support by wearing a stylish white top and track pants with Owens’ number 36 and his name on them. In his next game, she wore a custom-made short skirt with his number and last name on it, again paying a beautiful tribute to her husband.
Recently, in a Bears game in Baltimore, Biles also wore a stylish white letterman-style jacket with Owens’ No. 36 embroidered onto the lapel. On the back of the jacket, an illustration of Owens in the Bears jersey was displayed as well. The gymnast also wore a pair of oval sunglasses with ‘Owens’ written on the side.
Biles on sharing her relationship with her husband in her newest docuseries
Biles recently discussed highlighting her relationship with her husband in the docuseries she released last year titled “Simone Biles Rising”. In an interview with Netflix, Biles said:
“Our relationship is a really big part of my life, and everyone’s gotten to see me grow up, but they haven’t gotten to see me and my husband interact. I thought it really important to highlight that, yes, I can be married and still be at the top of my game. Getting married and going back to the Olympics was a huge part of my life that I didn’t want to gloss over. Obviously we respected Jonathan’s privacy as well and had to figure out how much he wanted to be highlighted in the series. But ultimately we decided that we do want to share this. It’s a big part of our lives, and I think it’s really important for kids to see that there are things to look forward to past gymnastics and sports.”
Biles has been on a break from competitive gymnastics since participating at the Paris Olympics a year ago, where she won three gold medals and a silver medal.
