Lee Reveals What Her Beauty And Makeup Prep Looks Like

Lee recently discussed her makeup routine for photo shoots and major events in an August interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine. The two-time Olympic gold medalist said that, because of her sensitive skin, she prefers to keep things simple:

“I like to keep it simple because I have really sensitive skin. I’m not really into facials. I’ve had a couple done and it’s always super relaxing, but my skin actually breaks out more after. Instead, I love a good collagen mask. Have you seen the salmon DNA one? Obsessed with those. And then I love to just do a depuffing gua sha.”

She also said she prefers to care for her skin herself, noting that facials often lead to breakouts a few days later:

“Every time I come out of a facial, I look amazing. My skin’s glowing. And then, a couple days after, I have pimples everywhere. I’m like, What’s going on? And then I realized it’s from the facial. So the night before a big event, I do my gua sha routine, and then I put on my mask. I go to sleep, wake up, wash my face again, and then, usually, glam will come to my apartment, so it’s easy.”

Lee appeared in the Fall 2025 issue of Cosmopolitan, where she also discussed her shift from gymnastics to the fashion industry.
