How Did Maisie Boesiger Welcome Former Nebraska Volleyball Teammate Lexi Rodriguez?

Boesiger revealed that Rodriguez was coming over to hang out and she prepared a ‘Maisie’ latte to welcome her best friend home after her trip to Paris during the professional volleyball offseason.

A player for LOVB Nebraska (formerly LOVB Omaha), she joined the team after concluding her collegiate career.

In a TikTok post, Boesiger expressed her joy in the video as she made a coffee for her ex-teammate, captioning it:

“SO happy to see my girl❤️❤️”

Rodriguez was a standout for the Huskers, earning four All-American honors and finishing her collegiate career as the program’s all-time leader in digs with 1,897. Meanwhile, Boesiger is in her final year with Nebraska as a valued team member, contributing whenever she takes the court and supporting the team in key moments.

Boesiger Reflects on Her Favorite Thing About Nebraska Fans

Boesiger opened up about Nebraska’s consistently devoted fanbase, recalling the most unforgettable moment from her sophomore year. That season, Husker fans turned out in overwhelming numbers at Memorial Stadium, typically the home of the Cornhuskers football team, to support the volleyball squad.

The event, held in August 2023, set a world record with an attendance of 92,003, the largest ever for a women’s sporting event. It surpassed the previous mark of 91,648 set during the UEFA Champions League match between Barcelona and Wolfsburg in April 2022 in Spain. In an interview with 1890 Nebraska released this year in September, she said:

“They show up every single day without fail, like packing Memorial Stadium with 92,000 fans. That was my sophomore year, and I still cannot believe that happened. It almost feels like a movie when you see anything about it, or see the pictures or the videos. I cannot believe that Husker Nation seriously packed 90,000 people in Memorial Stadium for us.”

She also spoke about how she likes to spend her spare time through baking. While she expressed pride in her baking skills, she admitted that she doesn’t get to do it as often as before because of the busy volleyball season and training schedule.
