    Nebraska Volleyball’s Maisie Boesiger Reacts as Sister and 2027 Commit Sets New School Record in Assists

    Nebraska Volleyball player Maisie Boesiger reacted enthusiastically to her sister Malorie’s achievement. Malorie, a Nebraska Volleyball Class of 2027 commit, impressed with 33 assists, four digs, two kills, and three blocks, helping her Norris High School team defeat Gering High School in straight sets.

    Malorie announced her commitment to Nebraska on June 16, sharing the news on her Instagram account. The post got reactions from many of Maisie’s teammates, including Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, Bergen Reilly, and Rebekah Allick, among others.

    How Did Nebraska Volleyball’s Boesiger Celebrate Her Sister’s Achievement?

    As she helped lead Norris to victory and earn their berth in the Nebraska Class B State semifinals, Malorie set a new single-season record for set assists with 1118 assists. To celebrate the feat, Maisie shared an Instagram Story dedicated to her sister, writing:

    “YAYYY @malorieboesiger Congrats girl love you❤️❤️❤️”.

    While Malorie is set to join the program, Maisie enrolled at Nebraska in the spring of 2022 and is now in her senior year. Currently, the Nebraska program features Bergen Reilly, a standout who is in her junior year, and Campbell Flynn, a freshman.

    Notably, Maisie has excelled both on and off the court, earning recognition as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2023 and as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in beach volleyball in both 2023 and 2024. She was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team for indoor and beach volleyball in 2023 and 2024.

    Away from volleyball, she celebrated a new chapter in her life as she got engaged to her boyfriend in a stunning beachside proposal in May 2025, which she later shared with her fans on Instagram.

    Boesiger Reflects on Her Nebraska Teammates for The 2025 Season

    Boesiger spoke about getting to know her new Nebraska teammates as they prepared for the 2025 season. She shared that having 15 players on the roster is “really cool,” noting that the large group makes practices highly competitive and helps drive everyone to keep improving.

    In an interview with 1890 Nebraska released in September 2025, she stated, “It’s been awesome to get to know so many new girls. We have 17 girls on the team, and it’s really cool because we have such a big group and a really talented group, so it’s really fun to get in the gym and train and compete with each other. It makes it really, really competitive.”

    With Dani Busboom Kelly taking over as Nebraska’s new head coach, replacing John Cook, Boesiger also spoke about her in the interview, describing the 40-year-old as energetic, passionate, and genuinely caring toward the players.
