Choboy Reflects on Her Competition with Olivia Mauch

Laney Choboy opened up about the friendly competition between her and Olivia Mauch for the libero position, sharing that while there’s always a healthy rivalry, they continue to cheer for each other.

Addressing how switching roles between libero and defensive specialist (DS) can be challenging, she said they’ve both managed to handle it well. Speaking to the media ahead of Nebraska’s matchups with Northwestern and Michigan State, Choboy stated:

“I think it can be really difficult going in and out of that position, but we’ve both handled it really, really well and just try to bring what we bring all the time, no matter what role we’re in. If we’re DS-ing that game, we’re still going to try to bring everything that we would bring if we were libero.”
