Nebraska Volleyball alum Allie Sczech has announced her next destination and will get her professional career underway with Puerto Rican side Criollas de Caguas. The opposite hitter will link up with the reigning champions ahead of the 2026 season.
After a glittering college career, Sczech had been initially drafted by the Omaha Supernovas with the 29th overall pick ahead of the 2026 Major League Volleyball season. But she was waived from the roster a few days ago and now has a new team.
Nebraska Volleyball’s Allie Sczech To Join Criollas de Caguas
As shared by the club and player on Instagram, Allie Sczech will join the Criollas de Caguas for the 2026 season. The team won the 2025 Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino title, and Sczech will hope to help them retain the crown next year.
Criollas de Caguas welcomed Sczech with a post on Instagram, writing:
“We officially welcome Allie Sczech, who joins the Las Criollas de Caguas family.”

Sczech shared her excitement ahead of the impending move on her Instagram Story, writing:
“All glory to God and can’t wait to be in PR so soon!”

Allie Sczech spent the 2025 season with the Nebraska Volleyball team, averaging 1.59 kills per set on a 38.4% hitting percentage and 0.56 blocks.
Before her move to the Huskers, she spent three years at Baylor, where she was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team on two occasions (2022, 2024).
Sczech spoke about her connection to Nebraska Volleyball
Despite spending just one year with the Nebraska Volleyball team, Allie Sczech formed a close connection to the University of Nebraska and the state as a whole. After her departure from the team was announced in November 2025, she penned a message to the Husker nation, expressing her gratitude for representing the program.
“I’m so grateful the lord led me to the University of Nebraska. This program, these people, and Husker nation made this place feel like a second home. I will always be grateful for the memories I’ve created here and the joy this experience has held.”
“I’m so honored to have been able to close out my college career wearing the N on my chest. This state and these people are truly one of a kind. There is no place like Nebraska!”
Sczech was part of the Huskers team that triumphed in the Big Ten Conference. She was initially expected to link up with the Omaha Supernovas.
But she was waived ahead of the final roster selection and will now go pro with one of the top teams in Puerto Rico.
