Norris Coach Christina Boesiger Reflects on Daughter Maisie’s Efforts to Make It Back for Class B State Finals
Christina Boesiger, the coach of Norris High School and mother of the sisters, spoke about how eager and excited Maisie was to get back on time, despite longer games in the earlier volleyball matches, to watch her sister Malorie play in the finals of the Class B State Championships.
In a post-match interview, Christina was asked about Maisie’s presence, where the coach detailed how Maisie was continuously asking for updates and available on the phone throughout, except when Nebraska played their game against Minnesota, which they won by a straight 3-0 win.
Christina said, “Yes, I knew she was texting us giving us updates. Plane landed, I’ll be there. Look for me. You know, so we knew she was so excited to make it back in time and very, very excited to have her here…She’s like, okay, from the 9:00 game, how’s it going? What time is it? Is it going to end? What time’s the next game? Like she was keeping dibs until she had to put her phone away up until their game.”
Notably, alongside Maisie, several Nebraska players, including Murray, Leimbach, Laney Choboy, Andi Jackson, and others, were also present in the stands to support Malorie in the finals.
