Lindsey Vonn Opens Up On Starting A Family At 41
Vonn revealed that she underwent the procedure during an interview with TIME Magazine. The American featured on the cover this month, discussing her comeback to the sport, as well as her retirement in 2019.
On starting a family, she said, “I’m not stressed about it, which gives me peace of mind. But that’s definitely something that I’m really looking forward to.”
She also revealed why she adopted a puppy following the passing of her beloved dog Lucy in April 2025. “The only negative about the sport is you just go home to an empty hotel room. It’s a tough life to live. I don’t have to live it that lonely.”
Vonn ended last season on a high, becoming the oldest female alpine skier to earn a podium finish at the World Cup Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Vonn Ecstatic With Being Featured On TIME Magazine Cover
Vonn took to Instagram to share a message about being featured on the cover of TIME Magazine. She dedicated the feat to her mother and wrote, “MOM, I’M ON THE COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE!!! As my eyes fill with tears (not ideal while doing intervals on the bike 🥹), I can’t quite put into words what this means to me. @TIME was always one of my mom’s favorite magazines. I can still see her in bed in Minnesota, reading each issue intently, ice cream in hand. I know she would be proud.”
Vonn’s mother, Linda Krohn Lund, passed away in 2022 due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
