The Avalanche won by a 7-4 final score, ultimately coming out on top in a high-scoring game that they had to win to avoid being eliminated from the postseason; they’re now guaranteed one last chance to win the series in a winner-take-all Game 7.
The Stars blew an opportunity to advance to the second round; they couldn’t protect their 4-3 lead going into the third period, watching as the Avalanche scored four unanswered goals to seize the victory.
Stars Fans Are Feeling Nervous After Blowing Game 6 Lead
Despite leading by a goal heading into the third period, the Stars were unable to close the deal and now have to play Game 7, leaving their fans nervous.
One fan kept their response quick: “My heart can’t take this.”
Another fan unleashed fury at the Stars, ranting, “Because you guys SUCKED tonight. YOU literally scored 4 goals for them tonight. 1, off our player’s skate, the 5th point to go ahead, and 2 empty netters. What a shitty effort.
