‘Offense Should Be Ashamed’ – Golden Knights Fans Livid After Game 4 Shutout Loss Pushes Them To Brink

The Vegas Golden Knights are officially staring into the abyss following their 3-0 loss at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers.

Maligned Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner, who entered the game with the worst goals-against average and save percentage of all remaining NHL playoff goalies, pitched a shutout by stopping all 23 shots that the Golden Knights fired his way.

Meanwhile, Edmonton scored twice in quick succession in the first period as they did in Game 3, but this game had a far better outcome for them.

Vegas Golden Knights Fans Can’t Believe What They Witnessed in Game 4

It was a hard sight for Vegas fans, especially after their dramatic Game 3 win, which halved Edmonton’s then 2-0 series lead. Fans took to X to express their feelings about Monday’s game.

One fan spoke about how the Golden Knights’ top players have not performed, and wrote, “I’m a huge fan, but that’s embarrassing. When will the top players step up?”

Another Las Vegas fan couldn’t believe they allowed Skinner to shut them out and commented, “Getting shut out by Stewart Skinner is a new low. EMBARRASSING.”

One fan speculated that significant changes could be coming if Vegas doesn’t win Game 5: “No energy, no push, no structure or D……handful of players going, the rest phoned it in….suspect that we will see several gone during the offseason.”

“Some of the worst hockey I’ve ever seen tonight,” one hockey fan said. “Just trying way too hard to set up plays that aren’t working. Zero coordination or confidence from the players. I hope it’s better in Vegas on Wednesday because that was abysmal.”

One Golden Knights fan spoke about the blown leads in Games 1 and 2 and said, “This is why you win the games you should win. Game 1 up 2-0. Game 2 had a lead heading into the 3rd period. You win either of those, it’s a completely different series. You win both of those, in the driver’s seat. Tonight wasn’t winable. The first two games were.”

Another fan recalled the Golden Knights’ infamous 2019 Game 7 loss to San Jose and commented, “One of the most disappointing games since the Sharks got 3 in 5 minutes. No effort, no emotion, no shots. It’s time to pack up and go home.”

A disappointed Vegas fan described Monday’s action as the worst game of the year: “Worst game of the season in my opinion. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about the way they played tonight. That was an embarrassing effort. They really just didn’t give a s**t and it showed.”

The Golden Knights now have no choice but to win three straight games to avoid elimination from the postseason.
