If there has been one UFA who has been the talk of the town this offseason, then it is the Stanley Cup Champion, Brad Marchand. At 37, while many thought his trade to the Panthers would be too much, with 20 playoff points, he was a key reason for their victory.
Marchand’s importance to the Panthers was visible as GM Bill Zito retained him on a six-year deal. But as the NHL further enters free agency, Marchand has been enjoying the free time with his family as he took everyone to Wimbledon.
As his wife recently shared, the winger is having the time of his life in London.
Brad Marchand Is Having a Wimbledon Moment Himself With Table Tennis
Brad Marchand recently took his family to London as the NHL winner went to see the competition. And as his wife, Katrina Marchand, shared on her Instagram, it showed him having a good time himself.
Katrina shared a clip that showed them watching tennis star Carlos Alcaraz. The very next story saw Brad playing table tennis against Grand Slam Tennis Tours’ Director of Sales, Jock Cooperrider.
The caption read, “When you’re at Wimbledon and feel like you can be in the big leagues too.” And while Brad had made a name for himself as an ace for the Boston Bruins’ front three, the clip shows how he was giving Cooperrider a tough time as well.
This trip comes after a thrilling free agency where Brad became a free agent at the end of the 2024-25 season. And while many people expected him to go to the likes of the Utah Mammoth or Toronto Maple Leafs, he ended up remaining in South Florida.
The Panthers offered him a contract for six years with a total value of $31.5 million, with an AAV of $5.25 million, which effectively ensures that Brad will be with them until retirement. But for now, the left winger is enjoying his life after winning the Stanley Cup.

Katrina’s story also shows Brad wandering the streets of London, as he was spotted wearing a knitted cardigan with blue slacks in full North London fashion in front of the Grand Plaza Kensington Hotel near Kensington High Street.
Not to mention, it is apparent just how much of a presence Brad is, as even though the focus was on Aryna Sabalenka beating Emma Raducanu, the fans didn’t fail to spot Brad in the crowd.

The next story showed Katrina posting a photo of the House, which is a private event space near the All England Club during Wimbledon. It offers hospitality and provides a place for guests to relax and enjoy gourmet cuisine while they take in the matches.
