‘Blues In 7’ – Blues Fans Confident Coming Back Home Despite Game 5 Loss to Jets

The St. Louis Blues didn’t get the result that they were hoping for on Wednesday night in Winnipeg, dropping a 5-3 final score to the Jets in Game 5 of their Round 1 series.

The Jets now have a 3-2 series lead over the Blues heading back to St. Louis for Game 6, where they can eliminate the Blues and move on to Round 2.

However, fans can expect the Blues to put their best foot forward in their do-or-die game tomorrow night as they did earlier in the series.

Blues Fans Express Confidence Ahead of Must-Win Game 6

Despite the disappointing loss, fans of the Blues remained confident in their club’s ability to bounce back as they did in Games 3 and 4.

This fan had a simple prediction: “Blues in 7.”

Another fan simply wants to see more pucks on net, saying, “Winnipeg has not played that great all of their home games this series but we did not play as awesome as we did for games 3 & 4 at home. Shoot the puck no matter what their goalie does not look good right now seems we could have easily already won this series LGB!”

This fan can’t wait for Game 6, saying, “This baby is going 7! Best home ice advantage in the league. Bring the noise!”

Another fan wasn’t worried about the setback, saying, “Bad game but just got to shake it off win game 6 and you never know what could happen.”

This Blues fan also was confident but had a request along with it, saying, “confident that we can bounce back in game 6. but that means when we come back to Winnipeg in game 7, please ask the offense to wake up for the entire game please!”

Finally, this fan believes and wants his fellow fans to as well: “Still got a chance in this series. Just got to believe.”

Blues Coach Jim Montgomery Is Looking Forward To Game 6

Following the disappointing Game 5 loss, Blues coach Jim Montgomery laid his cards on the table and said his club has no choice but to win their next two games to keep their season alive.

“They were better than us,” Montgomery said. “There’s a lot of facets but we’re onto the next one. It’s a playoff series — I thought that was their best game, thought it was our worst game, we’re onto the next one. We can analyze every part of it — they were better. So, we’re onto the next one.”

“It’s a series,” he said. “It’s going to happen. Unfortunately, we’re not happy about it but we’re onto the next one. It’s as simple as that. We’ve got to forget about it. We’re in a series.”
Game 6 is set for Friday night in St. Louis beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET.
