The St. Louis Blues became the second Western Conference club in as many days to force a decisive Game 7 in their opening-round postseason series, defeating the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 at the Enterprise Center.
The series, which Winnipeg previously led 2-0 and 3-2, is now knotted at 3-3 and will go into the deciding final game on Sunday evening. The victor will advance to play the winner of the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche series, which will see Game 7 on Saturday night.
Blues Demolish Jets in Game 6
The Blues found the back of the net for the first time on Friday night thanks to first-year St. Louis forward Philip Broberg, who notched his first goal of the postseason at 6:05. The Jets managed to tie the score early in the second period thanks to Cole Perfetti, but the floodgates soon opened against them.
The Blues scored four goals in just under six minutes of game time, taking a 5-1 lead after tallies from Nathan Walker, Brayden Schenn, Cam Fowler, and Alexey Toropchenko.

Winnipeg managed to cut into the St. Louis lead with a power-play goal from Nino Niederreiter just before the midway point of the third period, but they wouldn’t get any closer.
Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington made 21 saves as part of the win, while his counterpart, Connor Hellebuyck, was pulled after 40 minutes, marking the third time he hasn’t been on the ice to close out a game in this series.
3 Jets Players Who Struggled in Game 6 Loss to Blues
1] Connor Hellebuyck
For the third time in the series, the Jets were forced to pull Hellebuyck from the net after a poor performance put the rest of his team behind the 8-ball. Hellebuyck was victimized five times on just 23 shots before being taken out of the game by coach Scott Arniel after 40 minutes.
He also allowed four goals in a span of just over six minutes of play in the second period. In doing so, Hellebuyck became just the third goaltender in NHL playoff history to allow four-plus goals in seven straight road games. If Hellebuyck can’t get it together in Game 7, the Jets’ Presidents’ Trophy-winning season will have been for nothing.
2] Luke Schenn
Schenn, who is the brother of Blues captain Brayden Schenn, picked a bad game to have one of his worst performances of this postseason.
He finished the game with a -3 rating, the worst among all Jets blue liners. He also committed a giveaway in the game and got into a verbal jousting match with his brother during the third period.

3] Morgan Barron
The Jets forward was caught out of position multiple times during the loss to the Blues, finishing with a -3 rating, tied for the worst among all Winnipeg forwards.
Not only did he struggle on the defensive front, but Barron also contributed nothing offensively while managing only a single shot on goal.
