With the NFL season heading into its final stretch, the Green Bay Packers will be heading to Minnesota for the last Monday Night Football matchup of the year. The betting crew here at Pro Football Network have a couple of plays that they like in this NFC North showdown. Will Kirk Cousins 0-8 Monday Night Football record continue to haunt the Vikings? Will Aaron Rodgers be able to kick his offense into high gear on the road in the “spaceship”? Who is going to come away with the win, and have a stranglehold on their division? PFN has the answers, and hopefully, some winners in this edition of the NFL Week 16 MNF bets article.

Location: U.S. Bank Stadium
Time: 8:15 pm EST
Spread: Vikings -5.5
O/U: 46.5

This line is interesting, with the Vikings being this big of a favorite at home against a Packers team that actually has more wins than them on the year. The public has been against Green Bay for most of the season because of their lackluster performances. Yes, they have been winning games, but they haven’t been very impressive. Meanwhile, the Vikings are winning and in exciting fashion. Interestingly, this game actually opened around 4.5 in most places and has been drifting out over the week.

Ben Rolfe – The Volatility Expert

“This week in the NFL has been bonkers. Teams have been surprising us all over the place, and I think we see another high scoring game this week. I also expect this game to be decided by a handful of points. Therefore the smart pick for me here feels like a six-point tease taking the total down to 40.5 and the Packers up to +11.5.”

Chris Smith – PFN’s Expert Handicapper

“The Vikings have emerged as a sneaky Super Bowl futures play recently. I like Minnesota to beat the Packers outright for my Week 16 MNF bets selection, but I am having a difficult time laying more than a field goal knowing Kirk Cousins’ primetime past. In a game where the Vikings take on Aaron Rodgers in the dome, I believe the over provides the best value on the board. I was able to grab it at 46.5 earlier this week but would also recommend it at the key number of 47.

The Vikings are averaging 27 PPG, and the Green Bay defense ranks towards the bottom of the league against the pass. Similarly, Aaron Rodgers should have little difficulty picking on the one weakness of the Minnesota defense, the secondary. Remember when Xavier Rhodes was an elite corner in this league? That seems like ages ago. I’m expecting big plays on both sides with a final score around Vikings 28 – Packers 24.”
