The Top Potential Prospects for New Orleans’ First Round Selection
When looking at this list of players, three prospects stand out above the rest as potential selections for the Saints’ first-round pick. Starting with Ohio State, Reese is the leading name among all these players. Reese has become one of the top players in the country this season and would fit the Saints’ scheme perfectly, bringing the talent New Orleans is currently lacking.
People that think Arvell Reese is just a linebacker are insane. He is the next Micah Parsons https://t.co/1Kl4zDrbAL

The next name that jumps out is Alabama’s starting QB. This season, Simpson has skyrocketed as one of the most talented signal callers in the country. The redshirt Junior is starting for the first time in his college career, but he looks like a player who has been the QB for years.
On the other side of the LSU vs Alabama matchup, Delane is another player to watch. It’s doubtful the CB can be selected at #1, but if the Saints move back in the draft or trade back, he could be the perfect selection. After transferring to LSU, Delane has burst onto the scene as one of the best defenders in the country, and at times, opposing QBs must avoid throwing his way all game. This season, per PFSN’s CFB CB Impact metric, Delane has a 96.0 impact score, which ranks him first in the country.
