Jaguars Kicker Cam Little Just Made NFL History With This Insane 68-Yard Field Goal

Cam Little arrived in Jacksonville with the reputation of having one of the strongest legs in college football, and in just his second NFL season, he has already delivered one of the greatest moments in Jaguars history.

How Did Cam Little Make NFL History?

The Jaguars went into halftime against the Raiders in Las Vegas trailing 6-3, but not before Little drilled a 68-yard field goal that now stands alone as the longest made kick in NFL history, beating out Justin Tucker’s 66-yard field goal from 2021.

The ball sailed cleanly through the uprights and looked like it could have been good from even further, silencing the crowd and giving Jacksonville a massive momentum boost heading into the locker room.

The kick also validated what many in Jacksonville already believed. Little has rare power, elite mechanics, and the poise to match. It was only a matter of time before he etched his name into the league’s record books.

This historic field goal did not come out of nowhere. Earlier this year, Little hit a 70-yard field goal in the preseason against the Steelers.

Although preseason kicks do not count toward official NFL records, that moment proved he had more than enough leg to challenge history once the games mattered. Now he has done exactly that.

Just two years into his NFL career, Little has shown rapid development and remarkable consistency. Jacksonville drafted him with the 212th pick in the sixth round of the 2024 draft, believing he could become the long-term answer at kicker, and so far, Little has exceeded expectations.

The Franchise Kicker Jacksonville Has Been Searching For

For years, the Jaguars cycled through kickers while searching for a true successor to Josh Lambo. Reliability, accuracy, and long-range ability were all missing at various points as the team went through kickers year in and year out. Now those questions have finally been answered.

Little has quickly proven himself to be the Jaguars’ franchise kicker, pairing elite leg strength with calm execution in high-pressure moments. Jacksonville’s staff trusts him anywhere on the field, and the locker room has embraced him as a steady presence capable of flipping field position and generating points from seemingly impossible distances.

If he keeps developing at this pace, Little has a real shot at becoming one of the top kickers in Jaguars history — possibly even the best — joining the likes of Josh Scobee and Lambo in the team’s elite ranks. Regardless of what comes next, he is already cemented in league history. A 68-yard field goal is now part of the NFL’s permanent record, and Cam Little owns it.

The Jaguars may have been trailing at halftime in Las Vegas, but they walked off the field with something far more meaningful. They have their kicker of the future, and he just delivered a moment that will be remembered forever.
