After Week 9, the Denver Broncos are 7-2. That puts the win streak at six games. On the heels of the trade deadline, Denver is ranked No. 3 in PFSN’s Jacob Infante’s Power Rankings. It’ll be interesting for Broncos fans to see if the latest win prompts general manager George Paton and head coach Sean Payton to acquire another piece at the deadline, as mentioned earlier.
Denver Broncos Crack Top Five in Power Rankings
Week 10 Power Rankings were published Sunday night. In it, the Broncos rank No. 3.
“It wasn’t the prettiest victory, but after scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter, the Denver Broncos came from behind to defeat the Texans and improve to a 7-2 record for the 2025 NFL season. The winners of six games in a row, the Broncos are on an absolute heater at this stage of the regular season. Stacking up wins outside of the division bodes very well for their playoff chances as they head into the more difficult part of their schedule in the second half of the year,” Infante wrote.
The Broncos are ranked below only the top-slotted Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills. Rounding out the top five behind the Broncos are the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Circling back to Paton and Payton, the current six-game win streak has the Broncos ahead of schedule in Year 2 of quarterback Bo Nix’s development, who is No. 15 in PFSN’s QB Impact Score. CBS Sports’ Jonathon Jones wrote that the Broncos may acquire a pass catcher before the deadline. With less than eight hours to go before the deadline, it’ll be interesting for Broncos fans to see if the Broncos make a move.
Elsewhere, the Broncos play the Las Vegas Raiders on “Thursday Night Football” in Week 10. Then Denver plays the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11 before a Week 12 bye.
In Week 11, it looks like the Broncos and Chiefs are going to be playing for the power. It’s a matchup between the third-slotted team on the power rankings and the fifth-slotted team. It’s also a divisional matchup. Going into Week 10, the Broncos are two games ahead of the Chiefs in the AFC West, although PFSN’s Free NFL Playoff Predictor has Denver as the eventual No. 7 seed.
