Broncos Injury Report: Latest Updates on Marvin Mims Jr., J.K. Dobbins

The Denver Broncos play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. The former is 8-2 atop the AFC West, while the latter is 5-4 coming out of a bye. Week 11 is paramount for both teams. Ahead of that, though, here’s Wednesday’s practice report for the Denver Broncos.

    Jonathon Cooper (Thumb)

Cooper, No. 27 in PFSN’s EDGE Impact Score, was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. He’ll likely have no injury designation heading into Week 11. Cooper will be part of the defensive line quartet alongside Nik Bonitto, Zach Allen, and John Franklin-Myers. Each player has at least four sacks through 10 weeks.

    Marvin Mims Jr. (Concussion)

Mims Jr. was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. We’ll see later in the week if he can clear concussion protocol.

Mims Jr. returning would put rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant back on the bench in 11 personnel — one running back, one tight end. Mims Jr. is a field stretcher like fellow WR Courtland Sutton and a clear out for the underneath routes that slot WR Troy Franklin run. His absence has been missed.

    Garrett Wallow (Hamstring)

Wallow practiced in full on Wednesday. He’ll be ready for Week 11 barring a setback. Wallow has four total tackles on the season.

    Nate Adkins (Knee)

Adkins didn’t practice on Wednesday. We’ll have a better idea if he plays this week after Friday’s injury report. If not, Marcedes Lewis will likely get called up from the practice squad again. Lewis played on 20 snaps in Week 10 after playing on six in Week 9.

    J.K. Dobbins (Foot)

Dobbins, No. 14 in PFSN’s RB Impact Score, didn’t practice on Wednesday. Since the Broncos are considering putting Dobbins on injured reserve, it’s safe to say he won’t practice this week or play in Week 11.

Pick up RJ Harvey off waivers in fantasy football. Jaleel McLaughlin, though, is worth a speculative add. He won’t factor into the pass work, but he’ll spell Harvey. McLaughlin may find a hot hand, although he hasn’t been active on game days in weeks.

    Jonah Elliss (Hamstring)

Elliss didn’t practice on Wednesday. We’ll know more on Friday. Elliss has 14 total tackles, three tackles for loss, two QB hits, a sack, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble. He is a special teams player who has played on 38% of the defensive snaps, compared to 69% on special teams.

    Trent Sherfield (Toe)

Sherfield didn’t practice on Wednesday. We’ll have more information on Friday.

    Alex Singleton (Illness)

Singleton is likely out for a couple of weeks after undergoing surgery the day after “Thursday Night Football” in Week 10.

    Pat Surtain II

Surtain II is still not practicing. He’s eyeing a Week 13 return after the Broncos’ Week 12 bye week.
